Student Vaccination Updates

The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) and Public Education Department (PED) announce Student COVID-19 Vaccination Week May 3rd through May 8th. Students ages 16 and older will be given priority for first-dose appointments made through the NMDOH COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System. Students under the age of 18 will need to provide a signed, parental consent form.

To schedule a vaccination appointment, families should register their students online at where they will be connected to local providers and available appointment times. The Department of Health can also assist those who need help registering for the event – including those who do not have Internet access. Please call the COVID-19 hotline at 1-855-600-3453, press option 1.

Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and Moderna vaccines will be available for these appointments. Pfizer vaccine is the only vaccine available for students 16-to-17-years-old.

Welcome to the Tularosa Municipal Schools website.

​Located at the junction of New Mexico highways 54 and 70, Tularosa is nestled at the bottom of the Sacramento Mountains and is the gateway to Ruidoso and the Mescalero Indian reservation, home of the Inn of the Mountain Gods. The Village lies northeast of White Sands Monument, north of Alamogordo, east of White Sands Missile Range, and west of the Lincoln National Forest.

New Mexico schools are closed for duration of the school year in continued fight against COVID-19. The Tularosa Schools, along with all other New Mexico districts, has a plan to continue providing nutrition grab & go meals during this period as well as virtual and hard copy lessons to aide students in completing local requirements for the year and graduation of seniors. Updates will be posted as they become available.


The district is following the directives from the New Mexico Department of health and Public Education Department.
In order to ensure a safe reentry at a future date, our custodial and maintenance staff is continuing to deep clean the facilities.
Remote Learning will continue as scheduled.


Meals for Students will be provided on Friday each week. A box of meals will consist of Breakfast and Lunch for 5 Days.

Las escuelas de Nuevo México están cerradas por la duración del año escolar en una lucha continua contra COVID-19. Las Escuelas de Tularosa, junto con todos los demás distritos de Nuevo México, tienen un plan para continuar proporcionando comidas nutritivas para llevar durante este período, así como lecciones virtuales y en papel para ayudar a los estudiantes a completar los requisitos locales para el año y la graduación de los estudiantes de último año.
