Wildcat Community, Tularosa Municipals Schools is required to conduct an Educational Needs survey every three years. This survey provides important feedback and serves as the foundation to the systemic framework as well as identifying areas of need. Parents/Guardians - Just a reminder that there is no school for PreK - 5th grade for Thursday October 9th due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. Grades 6-12 will still have school on Thursday Oct 9th. All students will be out of school Oct 10th and there will be a continuation of Parent/Teacher Conferences taking place Friday. Also a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, October 13th in recognition of Indigenous Peoples Day. We will resume school Oct 14th through Friday Oct 17th with school is in session for all grades.
We are so excited for STEAM Night tonight. There will be food, activities, and prizes! Come out and shop the book fair. We have lots of prizes to include book prize packs, posters, and Book Fair gift cards. Hope to see you tonight from 5-7 PM at TIS!
Parents/Guardians - Earlier today, a Tularosa Intermediate Schools student was found in possession of a weapon on campus. School staff and administration acted immediately to ensure the safety of all students and staff. The building was promptly secured, and the weapon was identified as an airsoft gun. The airsoft gun was safely removed from the student’s possession.
Local law enforcement was contacted and responded quickly to assist with the situation. After authorities confirmed there was no ongoing threat, normal school operations resumed.
Tularosa Municipal Schools would like to assure parents, guardians, and the community that all students and staff are safe. The district takes all safety matters very seriously and remains committed to maintaining a secure learning environment.

STARBASE Holloman Day One was a resounding success!! Tularosa fifth graders had a blast laughing, learning and making memories as they participated in the dynamics of fluid mechanics, measuring boxes to take fudgsicles into space, measuring densities in different liquids, and even getting a carbon dioxide demonstration (don’t worry, we stayed incredibly safe!).
Today has been a long time coming and we are so grateful for all of your continued support.
