Today, Tularosa Middle School welcomed the New Mexico National Guard, who took time to speak with our students about the risks and long-term effects associated with vaping. With vaping becoming a growing trend among teenagers, this presentation provided timely and important information to help our students make informed, healthy choices.
During the presentation, students were highly engaged and asked thoughtful questions as topics such as the harmful chemicals found in vapes, medical issues linked to vaping, and strategies for saying no and handling peer pressure were discussed. It was a powerful learning experience that emphasized responsibility, awareness, and personal decision-making.
We would like to give a special shout-out and thank you to the New Mexico National Guard for making time to support and educate our students. We greatly appreciate your dedication and the service you display both in and out of our school.
At Tularosa Middle School, we remain committed to educating our students, promoting healthy choices, and maintaining a clean, safe learning environment for all Wildcats.

Estrella Muniz and Isaiah Johnson, both 2nd Graders at TES, showed fantastic leadership today by showing care for our school by picking up trash during their lunch time recess. Both students were not asked. They both saw the need and jumped in to help. What excellent examples of being good citizens!
