Seniors, Herff Jones will be on campus on April 8, 2026 from 1-2 p.m. to hand out senior orders. Juniors, you can pick up your class rings on this day as well. Remember, all orders must be fully paid for before they can be picked up.

I am excited to share that Tularosa Middle School has reached our attendance goal of over 90%! This is a huge accomplishment and it would not be possible without the effort and commitment from our entire Wildcat community.
To our students, thank you for showing up ready to learn and giving your best each day.
To our staff, thank you for the encouragement, support, and consistent focus on helping students be present and successful.
To our parents and guardians, thank you for partnering with us and making sure your children arrive at school each day ready to learn.
It truly takes a village, and this milestone shows what we can accomplish when we all work together.
While we celebrate this success, we also know the work continues. Being present matters—every day in school is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build toward the future.
So now we have a new challenge for our Wildcat family…

At Tularosa Middle School, we are continuing our efforts to support a focused and productive learning environment for all students. One area we are addressing is student cell phone use during the school day.
To help reduce distractions and improve student engagement in class, we are revamping our cell phone protocol for confiscated phones. This updated process will help ensure consistency and clear expectations for students.
We are asking for your partnership and support in reinforcing these expectations with your student.
Please note that previous phone confiscations will still be counted under this updated system.
I have attached a chart outlining the updated protocol so you can clearly see the steps that will be followed if a phone is confiscated.

Student safety is always our top priority at Tularosa Middle School, and we need your help to ensure our morning arrival procedures remain safe and efficient for everyone.
We have recently noticed a few safety concerns during morning drop-off. To help keep students, staff, and families safe, please review the following reminders:
Bus Drop-Off Area
Please do not use the front bus drop-off area between 7:15–7:45 AM. This space is reserved strictly for school buses so they can safely load and unload students. Using this area during bus arrival creates congestion and potential safety risks for our students.
School Zone Speed
We have also observed vehicles traveling at higher speeds along the street in front of the school. We ask all drivers to please follow the posted school zone speed limit of 15 miles per hour. Slowing down helps protect students who may be walking, crossing the street, or exiting vehicles.
Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for all students as they arrive at school each morning. Your cooperation and attention to these procedures make a big difference in keeping our Wildcat community safe. Thank you for helping us prioritize student safety.
