🐣 Easter Egg Hunt Fun for 1st & 2nd Grade! 🌸

Our 1st and 2nd-grade students had a wonderful time celebrating spring with a festive Easter Egg Hunt! Smiles, laughter, and excitement filled the air as students searched high and low for colorful eggs hidden around the campus.

This special event was a great opportunity for our young learners to enjoy time outdoors, build friendships, and celebrate the season together. From bright baskets to big discoveries, the joy was truly contagious!

A big thank you to our staff and volunteers who helped make this event so memorable for our students.

🌷 We love seeing our students learn, grow, and have fun together!

Public Protective Service Students Attend Supreme Court Hearing

On April 1, 2026, students from our Public Protective Service class traveled to Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) in Portales for a unique, real-world learning experience.

While on campus, students had the opportunity to observe a Supreme Court hearing focused on bias in jury trials. This experience allowed them to see firsthand how the judicial system addresses fairness and impartiality—key concepts they have been studying in class.

Field trips like this help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-life application, giving students a deeper understanding of careers in law, public safety, and protective services.

We are proud of our students for representing our school and engaging thoughtfully in this important civic experience!

🧪📏 Hands-On Learning in Teacher Academy I!

Teacher Academy I students got creative with their latest assignment — finding fun ways to teach gallon, quart, pint, and cup, and how they all connect!

Using visuals, models, and interactive ideas, students showed how these measurements equal each other in ways that make learning easy (and fun!).

Future teachers are already turning concepts into engaging lessons — and we love to see it! 🍎✨

Dear TMS Students, Staff, Parents, and Guardians,

I am excited to share that Tularosa Middle School has reached our attendance goal of over 90%! This is a huge accomplishment and it would not be possible without the effort and commitment from our entire Wildcat community.

To our students, thank you for showing up ready to learn and giving your best each day.
To our staff, thank you for the encouragement, support, and consistent focus on helping students be present and successful.
To our parents and guardians, thank you for partnering with us and making sure your children arrive at school each day ready to learn.

It truly takes a village, and this milestone shows what we can accomplish when we all work together.

While we celebrate this success, we also know the work continues. Being present matters—every day in school is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build toward the future.

So now we have a new challenge for our Wildcat family…
Can we reach 92% attendance next?

Let’s keep the momentum going and continue showing up for one another. Thank you again for your partnership and commitment to our students.

Go Wildcats!

Warm regards,

Good afternoon TMS families,

At Tularosa Middle School, we are continuing our efforts to support a focused and productive learning environment for all students. One area we are addressing is student cell phone use during the school day.

To help reduce distractions and improve student engagement in class, we are revamping our cell phone protocol for confiscated phones. This updated process will help ensure consistency and clear expectations for students.

We are asking for your partnership and support in reinforcing these expectations with your student.

Please note that previous phone confiscations will still be counted under this updated system.

I have attached a chart outlining the updated protocol so you can clearly see the steps that will be followed if a phone is confiscated.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a positive and focused learning environment at Tularosa Middle School.

Sincerely,
Tularosa Middle School Administration
